How PP Lunch Boxes Are Made: Inside an Injection Molding Food Container Factory

Every PPFOODPACK container follows the same path through our production base's 20,000 m² plant in Guangdong, China.

Resin and colour

Food-grade virgin PP pellets arrive with supplier certificates. Masterbatch is dosed for colours such as rice, yellow, green, orange or black.

Injection molding

Over 50 injection molding machines melt the PP and inject it into multi-cavity steel moulds. Cycle times of a few seconds give a monthly output above 30 million pieces. Bodies and lids are molded separately.

Decoration

Lids for branded orders go through IML (label placed by robot before injection) or UV flat printing after molding.

Quality control

First-article approval per mould, then in-line sampling for weight, dimensions, lid fit and leaks, plus appearance checks. Finished cartons pass a drop test.

Warehouse and shipping

An 11,000 m² warehouse holds stock SKUs for quick dispatch. Goods ship FOB Shantou or Shenzhen, about 1.5–3.5 hours from the factory. Our roof carries 5,000 m² of solar panels powering part of production.
