Ask this before quoting

"Does your packing line have a tray sealer?"

If yes, film seal is the cheapest and tightest option. If no, you must supply a snap lid, and the leak conversation changes entirely. Many quote disputes come from a supplier quoting film seal to a buyer who fills by hand.

Lid fit tolerances

ParameterTarget
Rim interference0.15–0.30 mm
Lid skirt engagement≥3 mm
Rim flatness±0.3 mm
Lid pull-off force15–35 N

Below 15 N the lid pops in transit; above 35 N staff cannot open it without a tool, and they complain.

FAQ

Are gasket lids worth the cost? For saucy food in delivery, yes. For dry bakery, no.

Can I switch lid type later? Only if the container rim is unchanged. A rim change means a new mould.

Next step

Tell us how the customer fills and packs. We will recommend one closure and explain the trade-off rather than quoting all six.
